Story

Write a story that begins with:
I was looking forward to the trip, but it nearly ended in disaster.
Your story must include:
  • a market
  • a purse

150-190 words

1 PARAGRAPH - setting the scene
Where were you? What were you doing? (visiting new city, visiting another country, in the city centre…)
Who was with you? (friends, family, alone...)
How did you feel? (excited, in a good mood, impatient...)

2 PARAGRAPH - what happened first
When did you set off? (early in the morning, when it was still dark, in the afternoon...)
What kind of market it was? (flea market, antique market, fruit market...)
What were you doing there? (browsing, shopping, looking for bargains, looking for something unique, special, unusual…)

3 PARAGRAPH - what happened to change things
Whose purse was it? What happened to it? (it was stolen, lost, swapped…)
How did you feel? (in a panic, scared, annoyed, afraid, frustrated…)
What did you do? (went to the hotel, called the police, searched for it, chased someone…)

4 PARAGRAPH - the end
What happened in the end? How did you feel? (relieved, pleased…)
